Youth Think Tank Team

YTTT members meet approx 5 times / year and members are paid for each meeting they attend. This fee is $50 per meeting (1 hour).

We encourage applications from:

  • Youth attending school or youth who are in the workforce

  • Open to all young people aged 12–24. Whether you’re a quiet thinker, creative mind, hands-on helper, or natural leader. This isn’t about being the top scholar or the loudest voice - it’s about bringing your unique perspective.

  • Youth who want to make a positive impact and have their fingerprints on youth events in our community.

Meetings are held in line with the availability of YTTT members at the office of Ladybug Projects: 6/18 Sweaney Street, Inverell NSW 2360.

If you have previously applied for the YTTT, you are welcome to apply again.

Battle on the Bank

Hosted by the Youth Think Tank Team on Friday 20 June 2025, 5PM - 9PM, the first Battle on the Bank was a free event organised by youth for youth. Following a youth led survey of young people in the community, results indicated youth wanted to see more opportunities for live music.

Hearing this feedback, the Youth Think Tank Team joined forces with Ladybug Projects and Regional Community Builders to deliver this event.

BOTB 2025 featured emerging star Kyla Belle, New England favourites Terra Firma, Inverell's Jemima McLachlan plus 7 youth taking to the stage and performing everything from Paul Kelly to Radiohead. Young soloist PJ claimed the audience vote, closely followed by Cooper Blair's didgeridoo performance and Natalie Tu in third.

A night of epic music, food, and local talent made this a memorable first event, with plans for future events. Click on the interview link below to hear more about the event and the youth organising team.
